For 1000 years, the neighborhood between Norway and Russia has been about peace, trade, friendship and cooperation. Can the rising tensions in Ukraine now change the stability that has characterised us in the north?
While Russia is sending troops and tanks across the border into Ukraine, and fierce fighting is taking place in several places in the country, Barents Press Norway, in collaboration with Pikene på Broen and the Barents Secretariat, introduces an open meeting and debate on the Ukraine conflict’s consequences for northern Norway.
The debate takes place in The Old Tourist Hotel in Kirkenes and is a part of the Barents Spektakel 2022. The event is free and will be streamed online. Its held in Norwegian.
